Where to vote: A notice of polling place has been mailed to each registered voter. You can also search for your polling place online by entering your name on the county clerk's website.

What to bring:

• Your voter identification card
• Another form of identification, such as a driver's license, state agency-issued ID card, ID from a Missouri institution of higher education, passport, Social Security card, Medicaid or Medicare card or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document with your name and address on it

What to do when you get there: Sign in and take a ballot. Darken the ovals to vote for a candidate or to vote for or against a proposition.

Change of address: If you've moved, be sure to file a change of address with the county clerk.

You can file the change three ways:

• Filing on the Boone County Clerk's website
• Printing out and mailing in a new Missouri voter registration application
• Mailing your name, old address, new address, mailing address (if different), date of birth, telephone number (optional), signature and the last four digits of your Social Security number

If you haven't filed the change by the election, call 573-886-4375 to change your address and find out which polling place to go.

Absentee ballots: If you won't be available to vote Nov. 2 because of a temporary absence from the county, religious beliefs, military service, incarceration (but retained voting privileges) or confinement due to injury or illness, you can request an absentee ballot. You can request to have the absentee ballot mailed to your house or come in person to vote at the Boone County Clerk's Office. Ballots must be requested by Oct. 27 or completed in person by 5 p.m. Nov. 1.
