Rob Howard is the owner of three tae kwon do schools in Missouri, and both his sons compete in the Korean martial art.

Third-degree black belt Corbin Howard, 13, performs in the weapons portion of the Show-Me State Games. There are three categories in the martial arts tournament: form, weapons and sparring. Corbin took first place in the weapons portion of his age group.

Robert Geiser, 2009 American Taekwondo Association sparring world champion, practices the form portion of the Show-Me State Games at Helias High School in Jefferson City on Saturday. After competing, Geiser said: "I feel pretty good. I saw some different styles, but they had the same basics behind them."

Robert Geiser, 2009 American Taekwondo Association sparring world champion, trains at Rob Howard’s ATA Blackbelt Acadamy, which is hosting the martial arts portion of the Show-Me State Games on Saturday. Geiser has been training for this tournament like he trains for most, practicing for 45 minutes almost every night.
