These two congregations formed the Columbia Lutheran Association of Schools to bring a new Lutheran school to mid-Missouri. The school opened in 2002 with eight students in grades one to three. The school now offers kindergarten through eighth grade and enrollment is 89 students.
The school's maximum class size is 24 students; classes begin at 8:15 a.m. and dismiss at 3:30 p.m.
A basketball program is offered to students in grades 5 to 8.
