MU SOCCER

The Missouri women’s soccer team entered the national ratings this week at No. 25 in the NSCAA/Adidas poll. Missouri (4-0) came close to making the SoccerTimes.com top-25 listing, ranked No. 26 with 31 votes. Missouri is the No. 5 ranked team in the NSCAA/Adidas Central Region rankings.

Kristen Heil is the Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Heil, a junior forward, received the accolade after winning MVP of the Tiger Invitational last weekend. Heil has three goals and six points on the year.

MU GOLF

The Missouri Golf Association named Senior David Jenkins the Amateur Player of the Year.

Jenkins finished third in the Bill and Payne Stewart Memorial giving him 2,130 points for the season putting him 20 points ahead of Ben Godwin to win the honor.

The Tigers begin their season on Sept. 19 in Toledo, Ohio.

MU TENNIS

Senior Urska Juric and junior Katka Sevcikova are No. 9 at doubles in the Intercollegiate Rankings. Juric was also ranked No. 24 in singles.

The pair are two-time Central Region doubles champions and won the Big 12 regular season title last year.

The Tigers, ranked No. 41 coming into the season, begin fall competition Friday at the Green Tennis Center, hosting Kansas, Illinois State and Murray State in the Mizzou Four-Way Tournament.
