MU students can now voice their complaints online through the Megaphone, a Web site created by the Missouri Students Association. The site became available last week.
“Megaphone’s purpose is to give all students an easy way to complain or suggest something to a department on campus and to make sure it gets to the right people right away,” said Nichole Radman, web developer for the association and designer of Megaphone.
Students can type up their complaints or suggestions in a form that only requires a name and e-mail address along with the comment.
“The form itself is self-explanatory, and to fill it out, a user doesn’t even need to know which department the issue deals with – they just have to describe it,” Radman said.
An administrator will proofread the submission and will send it to the top person of the appropriate department, she said.
Although the Megaphone is not officially launched yet, Radman said it is ready for use. The MSA is also preparing other online projects for students: a student portal that will offer various services — including weather and comics — and MASH, a Web site that will help students find a place to live in Columbia.
