The Hickman girls’ soccer team, opened the season with a 5-2 win against Camdenton on Monday. Janelle Cordia had a goal and three assists for the Kewpies.
Two of Cordia’s assists came on corner kicks. Jodi Bolerjack headed in Cordia’s first kick five minutes in and her sister, Amy Bolerjack, opened the second half with a header off another Cordia kick.
Kelly Olmsted scored to give Hickman a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Cordia’s goal gave the Kewpies a 4-1 lead, and Jodi Bolerjack scored her second goal to put the Kewpies up 5-1 late in the second half.
The game was delayed for 30 minutes after halftime because of lightning, and the second half was played in a heavy rainstorm.
