Cathy Cross of the clerk’s office said she does not know the exact number of election workers needed but is looking for anyone from any political party who is interested.
County Clerk Wendy Noren said the duties of election judges include checking voters’ qualifications and helping people vote correctly. Election judges are paid $115.
Noren’s office is holding a training session for new election judges at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Boone County Government Center, 801 E. Walnut St.
People interested should call Cross at 886-4377.
Missouri’s primary election is held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in August of even numbered years. It is held for established political parties to nominate their candidates for the November general election.
