The Rock Bridge Bruins needed to bounce back in a big way from a 32-14 loss to Liberty.
Sophomore running back Scott Concannon did his part to ensure they did.
The Hickman football team, ranked No. 3 in Missouri 6A, defeated top-ranked Blue Springs 34-16 Friday at Peve Stadium to move to 3-1 on the season.
With Blue Springs leading 16-13 with just less than five minutes remaining in the third quarter, Wildcats coach Kelly Donohoe opted not to punt in a fourth and three situation from the Wildcat's 31 yard line. After a Hickman stop, the Kewpies took the ball and marched all the way to the one-yard line, before quarterback Andrew Perkins dove into the endzone to make the score 20-16. It would be all Hickman would need.
