Here’s a look at town council and school board races, along with other issues, that appear on Tuesday’s ballots in Boone County:
Board of aldermen: David Thomas is running unopposed for a two-year term as Ward One alderman. Jim Fasciotti is running against John Sutherland for a two-year term as Ward Two alderman. Incumbent Carl Long is running against Kristopher Dolle for a two-year term as Ward Three alderman.
Southern Boone County R-1 school board: Incumbents Edward Musterman, Jesse Richardson and Edward Bartel, along with Bridget Canaday, are running for three three-year seats.
Board of aldermen: Incumbent Jerry Parmeley is running against William Wayne Ferrell II for a two-year term as mayor. Incumbent Ronald Duran is unopposed for a two-year term as Ward One alderman. Thomas Fair is unopposed for a two-year term as Ward Two alderman. There are no candidates for a two-year term as Ward Three alderman, but an alderman may be elected by write-in.
City collector: Incumbent Kathy Colvin is unopposed for another two-year term. Centralia voters will also decide through Question No. 1 whether the office of collector should be filled by election or appointment.
Boone County R-VI school board: Justin Romine, Mary Peeper, Steve Lescanec, Denny Rusch, Dennis Whitaker, Nathan Chitwood and incumbent Donald F. Collins Jr. are running for three three-year seats.
Board of aldermen: Incumbent Jane Alexander is unopposed for a two-year term as Ward One alderwoman. Voters will choose by write-in a person to serve a one-year term representing Ward One. Incumbent Glenda Nichols is unopposed for a two-year term in Ward Two.
Municipal judge: Incumbent Lee Koury is unopposed for a two-year term.
Hallsville R-IV school board: Incumbents Michael Crabtree, John Berkbuegler and Danny Hardin, along with Rick McBroom and Tricia Scholes, are running for three three-year seats.
Hallsville R-IV bond issue: School district voters will also decide whether to authorize a $2.95-million bond issue that would pay for a new elementary school plus remodeling and repair projects on other school buildings.
Board of trustees: There are three three-year terms available. Incumbents Jeff Arp and Dene Lehnen are running again. The third seat will be filled by write-in.
Harrisburg R-VIII school board: Elaina Priddy and incumbents Sandy Mueller, Sean Cochran and Vonna Foley are running for three three-year seats.
Board of trustees: Five one-year seats are available. Incumbents Nancy Grant, Jeanette Crawford, Laura Kays and Robert Tyler are running for re-election. The fifth seat will be filled by write-in.
Southern Boone County R-I school board: See Ashland.
Board of trustees: John Schroeder, Gerald Leaton and James Caldwell are running for two two-year terms.
Board of aldermen: Brett Dufur and Helen Easley are running for a two-year term as mayor. Jeff Raaz is unopposed for a two year-term as Ward One alderman. Rocheport’s incumbent mayor, Frances Turner, is running against incumbent Debbie Lynch for a two-year term as Ward Two alderwoman.
New Franklin R-I school board: Incumbents Jim Hull, Joe Chitwood and Todd Hill, along with Denise Waller, are running for three three-year seats.
Board of aldermen: Michael Butler and two write-in candidates, Alicia Walker and Roger Craighead, are running for a two-year term as mayor, while Donna Puga is running against Andrew Perkins for a two-year term in Ward One (West) . Raymond Cranmer is unopposed for a two-year term as Ward Two (East) alderman, and Paul Heywood is running against Chris Sharp for a one-year term as Ward Two (East) alderman.
Boone County R-V school board: Incumbents Brian Pollard, Darrin Kelly, and Melinda Taft, along with challengers Clarence Hoskins, Warren Henderson, Doug Bowne and Thomas Monroe, are running for three three-year seats.
Voters in several north and northeast Boone County precincts will choose a director to serve a two-year term as director of Subdistrict Two. The candidates are Jon Johnson and Larry Daly.
