The Missouri women’s basketball team defeated Pittsburgh 69-60 to win the Pittsburgh Thanksgiving Classic on Sunday.

Christelle N’Garsanet led the Tigers (4-2) with 18 points and 10 rebounds. LaToya Bond had 14 points, five rebounds and three steals along with game highs of five assists and four blocks.

Bonds’ play against Pittsburgh (4-1) coupled with making the winning free throws in a 57-56 victory against Towson in MU’s first tournament game on Friday earned her tournament MVP honors and a spot on the all-tournament team.

N’Garsanet and EeTisha Riddle also made the all-tournament team for the Tigers.

This is the first tournament the Tigers have won on the road in six years. The most recent title came in 1999 when the Tigers defeated Portland State and San Diego State to win the San Diego State Tournament.
