Internationally recognized scientist Robert Grubbs, a Nobel Prize winner and lecturer in chemistry at the California Institute of Technology, is the speaker today for the 12th annual Lloyd B. Thomas Chemistry Scholars Lecture.
Grubbs has titled his lecture “Drugs, Bugs and Bats: You Never Know Where Fundamental Research Will Take You.” He will expound on his innovative theories, explaining how his research into organic chemistry has practical applications in environmentally friendly production of goods.
The lecture will be at 4 p.m. today in the Conservation Auditorium at the Anheuser-Busch Natural Resources Building on the MU campus.
