Standoff ends in arrest
Police responded to a domestic disturbance call this morning at 1706 Hinkson Ave. The call was received from a woman, yet to be identified, claiming to be held against her will by her boyfriend who was in possession of a firearm. The man was later arrested and identified as Joe H. Hawkins of Columbia.
