Police released a photo Tuesday of a woman they say might have information regarding the slaying of Carlos Kelly.
Columbia police Capt. Brad Nelson stressed that she is not a suspect in the investigation.
He said the Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the woman in the store surveillance camera image, but he said he could not say why police thought she might have information pertinent to their investigation.
Police are not releasing where the photo was taken, but Nelson said it was taken in March.
The homicide investigation started Wednesday when police found Kelly dead in his apartment. Three men, Travis Midgyett, Rodney Cunningham and Felson Barney, were arraigned Sunday in Boone County Circuit Court after being arrested and charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery in connection with the killing.
Nelson said the investigation continues and police anticipate additional arrests in the future.
Columbia police ask that anyone who can identify the woman in the picture contact the Police Department at 874-7652 or CrimeStoppers at 875-TIPS.
