Rock Bridge hired Kelly Gates as its new girls’ soccer coach. Gates, who has coached at Westminster College and Moberly Community College, was an assistant with the Bruins.

“We felt good about Kelly because of her years of experience and think she’ll be a great leader for the girls,” Rock Bridge Athletic Director Jason Cahill said.

Gates replaces Marc VanDover who retired at the end of last season. Gates inherits nine juniors and seven sophomores, losing only three seniors from a squad that finished 10-7-6 last season.

MU SWIMMING & DIVING: The Tigers named their co-captains for next season. Senior Amy Charley and junior Jill Bastien will lead the women’s team, and juniors Brandon Lee and Travis Floyd will lead the men’s team. Charley is the only returning co-captain.
