On the second and fourth Mondays of every month, Cookie Hagan, a recreation leader at Columbia’s Parkade Center, directs a melody chime choir for seniors. Choir members play and sing songs from a variety of musical genres. Some of the choir’s favorite pieces include “Edelweiss,” “Silent Night” and “America the Beautiful.” Some faster tunes make the repertoire, too.
