The Moberly Police Department is investigating reports that someone fired several gunshots at a home early Sunday.

About 3:10 a.m., residents of a house on the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue reported to Moberly police that someone inside a dark-colored vehicle shot at their home.

Two adults and three children were home at the time, but no one was injured.

Moberly police Sergeant Kevin Palmatory said a possible suspect has been identified, but the department is still investigating other leads in the isolated incident.

Information about the type of weapon used or the number of shots fired is not being released, Palmatory said. He also said he could not confirm if anyone else in the neighborhood heard the gunshots.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Moberly Police Department at 660-263-0346 or the Crime Line at 660-269-TIPS.
