A month of Twilight Festivals ends tonight

Thursday, September 28, 2006 | 12:00 a.m. CDT

The Twilight Festival has filled the streets of downtown Columbia every Thursday evening in September.

Each night includes the U.S. Cellular Kids’ Camp in Courthouse Square, carriage rides and local entertainers along downtown streets. Each night also includes special one-time events.

Tonight’s festival, the last of the year, includes:

  • Marching Mizzou will march along Eighth Street from the MU Columns to the city’s Columns starting at 7:30 p.m. It will perform until 9 p.m. in Courthouse Square.
  • The Big Top Circus Band, a ringmaster and Ann Gafke’s trick and agility performing dogs will perform in the Flat Branch Circus from 6 to 8 p.m. in Flat Branch Park.
