Every year, photographers from the MU School of Journalism and across the country settle into a Missouri community and attempt to document the lives of its inhabitants. This year, 10 veteran photo editors and accomplished photojournalists from a variety of media organizations will supervise approximately 30 photographers from eight countries as they interact, photograph and work with residents in and around Moberly.
The schedule for all those attending the annual Missouri Photo Workshop is hectic; the photographers, MU crew members and photo editors work long hours generating multiple photographic stories by the week’s end. On a typical day, the photographers spend the day with their subjects followed by a rigorous edit with their faculty supervisors. On Saturday, the final day of the workshop, each photographer’s complete picture package will be presented to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Moberly Municipal Auditorium.
