Artists showcased at local bank

Works by more than 275 local artists are on display this weekend in the main lobby of Boone County National Bank at Eighth and Broadway as part of the 47th Annual Boone County Art Show. Paint, textiles, clay and wood are among the mediums used. This year’s winners were chosen by judge Aaron Fine, associate professor of art and gallery director at Truman State University in Kirksville. The award ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 this afternoon.

The event is co-sponsored by the Boone County National Bank and the Columbia Art League.
