A man was robbed in a Campus Inn hotel room Sunday night and forced to climb out of a first floor window without his pants.
Columbia police said two women invited a 40-year-old man to their room while he was having dinner at La Tolteca, 1112 Stadium Blvd. The man returned to his home to change clothes and then met the two women in a room at about 11 p.m. As he lay on the bed, another man entered the room behind him and threatened him with a gun.
The victim said the suspect forced him to remove his pants, which contained his wallet, cash and credit cards. The suspect then threw the victim’s keys out the window and told him to climb out of the window.
The man found a pay phone and called police at about 12:22 a.m. He was not injured, police said.
The case was being handled by the Columbia Police Major Crimes Unit, said Sgt. Ken Hammond, supervisor of the unit.
