If you are planning to vote in the Nov. 7 general election and have not yet registered, time is running out. The deadline for registering is 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Boone County residents who are 17½ and are U.S. citizens are eligible to register in the county, but they must be 18 on the day of the election to actually cast a ballot. No identification is required to register, but it will be required at the time of voting.

  • Voters who are unsure if they are registered can check at the Boone County clerk’s Web site: www.showmeboone.com/clerk.
  • Residents can register at these locations:
  • The Boone County clerk’s office, Room 236 of the Roger B. Wilson Boone County Government Center, 801 E. Walnut St.
  • The Motor Vehicle and Driver’s License Office in Suite 110 of the office building at 1500 Vandiver Drive.
  • The Columbia office of the Associated Students of the University of Missouri, A022 Brady Commons, MU.
  • The city clerk offices in Centralia, Sturgeon, Ashland, Hallsville and Rocheport.
