12:56 p.m.: Half of one side of the stands are almost all Oregon State fans, and half of the other side of stands are splashed with gold and black. But the remaining seats are primarily occupied by local fans wearing Texas El-Paso gear.
Sun Bowl Stadium is home to the UTEP Miners, and there's a large number of fans from the El Paso area that don't come to support either team. They're here for a good game.
That means cheering for Missouri when Stryker Sulak makes a tackle on Yvenson Bernard only one play after Bernard makes a catch and gains a few yards on a pass from Matt Moore.
"This is my first game ever," said El Paso resident Harvey Decker. "I'm enjoying it very much. Right now I'm cheering for Missouri but you never know, I could cheer for Oregon State too."
Decker, 17, came to his first game thanks to his longtime friend David Gonzalez.
Oregon State had a fourth-and-1 on the Tigers' five-yard line. Decker thought Oregon State would score a touchdown on the play. Bernard took a handoff to the one-yard line. Moore ran the ball in on the next play to put the Beavers ahead, 14-7.
