2:46 p.m.: At least two men were escorted out of the top of section 19 by police for allegedly throwing cups, paper plates and anything else they could find at fans in the Missouri section.
Fans in the top of section 19 said it had been going on throughout the game, and the fans had enough of the unruly antics. A majority of the fans cheered when the men were escorted out of Sun Bowl Stadium.
"Eventually they just hit the wrong guy," Thomas Aragoa said. "Everybody's just here to watch a football game. Let's all try and have some fun."
One of the men who supposedly was hit by a cup and went up to confront the alleged cup throwers was also led out of the stadium.
A few minutes after the police had to get involved with the fans, Tony Temple scored on a 66-yard touchdown run to add to the Tigers lead and make the score 31-21 midway through the third quarter. The run is the longest of Temple's career.
