Two Boone County residents were assaulted and robbed at gunpoint at a home on the 5100 block of Tony Street on Friday.

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the home, just west of South Providence Road, at about 1:40 a.m. Friday.

Four men kicked in the front door, sheriff’s deputies said. Each man had a gun and wore dark clothing and a ski mask.

The suspects demanded money from the residents and struck both of them with a gun. Neither resident was seriously injured.

Two children also were present in the home during the robbery.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department has not identified any of the suspects.

Sheriff’s deputies are asking anyone with information about the robbery and assault to call the department at 875-1111 or Crime Stoppers at 875-8477.
