An adult video rental and lingerie store was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night.

Columbia police responded to the robbery at Bocomo Bay, 1122 Wilkes Blvd., Suite A, at 11:11 p.m. Thursday.

The night clerk at the store told police that a black male suspect forced the clerk to the floor at gunpoint demanding money while the other suspect, a white male, took money from the store’s cash register.

The two suspects then bound the clerk’s hands with duct tape and put him in a back office before robbing the store’s safe, said Sgt. Ken Hammond of the department’s Major Crimes Unit.

Hammond would not say how much money was stolen.

After the robbery, the clerk freed his hands and called police. He suffered no injuries, police said.

The two suspects are described as being in their early 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall with moustaches. Each man was dressed in a black “puffy” coat and hooded sweatshirt. The white suspect wore a red bandana over his face.

Police are asking that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 875-8477.
