Missouri Track and Field athletes ran over the competition to help secure Team Big 12 a 223-114 victory over Team Mountain West at the Conference Challenge held in Lincoln, Neb. The Tigers had many outstanding performances, including four first-place finishers, and a record-breaking effort in the triple jump.

Missouri junior Hedvig Glomsroed broke the Missouri women’s triple jump record for the second time this year with a leap of 40 feet, 31/2 inches, which resulted in a third place finish. The Missouri event victories included junior Tyler Dailey in the men’s shot put, junior Trisa Nickoley in the women’s 600-yard race, senior Jimmie Jones in the men’s 600-yard race, and sophomore Angela Potrykus in the women’s 1000-meter race.

The event was held Saturday. Team Big 12 was represented by Missouri, Kansas State, and Nebraska, and Team Mountain West included Air Force and Colorado State.
