Board of Aldermen:
David Thomas, John Sutherland and Barbara Bishop are running unopposed in Wards 1, 2 and 3, respectively.
Southern Boone County R-1 Board of Education:
Biff Barner, Tony Russell, Carolyn Old and Barrett Glascock are running for two open spots.
Centralia
Board of Aldermen:
Jerry Parmeley is running unopposed for mayor. Ryan Yager is running for Ward 1; Bill Ladwig and Jason Ridgel are running for Ward 2; and Timothy Grenke is running for Ward 3. All are unopposed. Kathy Colvin is running unopposed for city collector.
Centralia R-6 Board of Education:
Mike Vanmaanen, Charlie Johnson, Harvey Million Jr. and Patt Olsen are running for two open spots.
Central R-6 School District:
There are two questions on the ballot. Question 1 is a proposed $9 million bond issue to improve schools in the district and to build a new upper elementary school. Question 2 proposes a 15-cent increase in the district’s property tax levy from 2007 through 2009.
Fayette
Fayette R-3 Board of Education:
Novy Foland, Leigh Hilderbrand, Michelle Howell, Steven Miller and Lee Young are running for two open spots.
Fayette R-3 School District:
Proposition 2 asks whether the boundary between the Fayette R-3 and Harrisburg R-8 school districts should be changed.
Hallsville
Board of Aldermen:
Larry Moore is running unopposed for Ward 1 alderman and Jim Bunton is unopposed for Ward 2 alderman.
Municipal Judge:
Richard Hicks is running unopposed.
Hallsville R-4 Board of Education:
Steve Koirtyohann, Anne Allen and David Haun are running for two open spots.
Harrisburg
Board of Trustees:
Jeff Wardrip, Bev Larkin Brown and Junior Carter are running unopposed for three available terms.
Harrisburg R-8 Board of Education:
Brent Voorheis, Cindy Roller, Shelli Martin and Dan Larkin are running for two open spots.
Harrisburg R-8 School District:
There are two propositions on the ballot. Proposition 2 is a proposed 60-cent increase in the district’s property tax levy. Proposition 3 asks whether the boundary between the Harrisburg and the Fayette R-3 school districts should be changed.
Hartsburg
Town Board:
Nancy Grant and Jeanette Crawford are the only two candidates running for five available one-year terms. The remaining positions will be filled by write-ins.
Huntsdale
Board of Trustees:
Debby Lancaster and Kurt Shryack are running unopposed for two available terms.
McBaine
Board of Trustees:
John Schroeder, Gerald Leaton and Tonnie Martin are running unopposed for three available terms.
Pierpont
Board of Trustees:
Justin John and Robert Miller are running unopposed for two available terms.
Rocheport
Board of Aldermen:
Brett Dufur is running unopposed for mayor. Jeffrey Raaz and Deb Lynch are unopposed in Wards 1 and 2, respectively.
Sturgeon
Board of Aldermen:
Paul Heywood and Danny Joiner are running for mayor. Stan Robinson and Kelly Martin are competing for Ward I West alderman, while Kevin Abrahamson and Raymond Cranmer are competing for a two-year term in Ward 2 East. Susan Hesser and Dean Connolly are competing for a one-year term in Ward 2 East.
Other races and issues
New Franklin R-1 Board of Education:
Travis Hundley, Denise Waller and Jason Jennings are running for two open spots.
New Franklin R-1 School District:
There is one question on the ballot. It asks whether the district should borrow $2.2 million to install a heating and cooling system for the high school and build and equip a new gym for the high school, as well as complete other renovations.
North Callaway R-1 Board of Education:
David Kemp, Kevin Zuroweste, Jefferson Jones and Daniel McMurtry are running for two open spots.
Public Water Supply District No. 4:
Larry Daly, Mary Sloan and Jon Johnson are running for two three-year terms.
