I would describe my personal style as ... I try to wear what is comfortable and not what everyone else is going to be wearing.

I get my style inspiration from ... If I could pick one store to shop from for the rest of my life, it would be Anthropologie. One designer that I do love is C. Mociun. She’s a Belgian designer, and the designs are incredible, and she makes everything herself.

The best place in Columbia to shop for bargains is ... Well, of course the thrift shops. Especially Maude Vintage. I like stuff at other stores, but I refuse to ever pay full price.

One item I consider timelessly stylish is ... Skirts. I think that skirts on women show their femininity and style, and they highlight the beauty of a woman’s body. Also, I love boots. You’re not supposed to wear them in the summer, but I say “screw that,” boots are quintessential.

My biggest fashion faux-pas was ... A leopard print top. It was really terrible.

I can read and re-read ... Anything by William Faulkner, especially “As I Lay Dying” and “The Sound and the Fury.” The stream of consciousness is amazing, and the characters are beautiful.

When I was little, I wanted to be ... A cowgirl. I liked the idea of working with horses and having a farm. It wouldn’t make much money, but I’m a country girl at heart.

My guiltiest pleasure is ... Good quality food, especially sweets. I’ll spend a ridiculous amount of money on it. My favorite is probably chocolate chip cookies.

One place I’d like to go is ... Seychelles Islands off the coast of Africa. It’s the only place other than the Galapagos Islands where you can find those big tortoises.

My favorite quote I try to live by is ... One is “Art has truth, take refuge there.” It propels me to work in the arts and find my place there. Two, “The love you take is equal to the love you make,” from a Beatles song. It speaks to how we should live life and treat others and what’s really important.
