My biggest challenge is … finding time. I’m also a husband and father and being senior pastor and executive director (of the Youth Empowerment Zone) are more than full-time jobs.

My most memorable experience was … winning the (2006 Columbia Values) Diversity Award. That’s something that I will remember and cherish because I didn’t expect it at all.

The best advice I’ve ever gotten was … from my mother. She told me one time that it’s not so much what people think of you, what matters is what you think of yourself.

Coke or Pepsi? ... Seven-Up

If I could be someone else for a day, I’d be … Jesus. He was awesome. He helped people the whole time during those three short years of his ministry.

When I was little, I wanted to be … well, not a pastor. I never dreamed of doing this. I actually wanted to be an artist. Then a teacher in elementary school scared me from pursuing it because she said I was no good.

My favorite quote I try to live my life by is … “Shoot for the stars, because even if you don’t make it, you’ll be at the treetops.”

My guilty pleasure is ... looking at rap videos. I watch them to stay abreast of the atmosphere that young people are in.
