Staying green this Earth Day may be easier than you think. Below are a few groups that strive to preserve the environment. All groups are Earth Day 2007 Coalition members.

Peaceworks’ Center for Sustainable Living

Peaceworks is an egalitarian, nonprofit, grass-roots organization. Everyone is welcome to join and learn how to “live lightly.”

Green Party of Central Missouri

The group focuses on 10 key values: ecological wisdom, grass-roots democracy, personal and social responsibility, nonviolence, decentralization, community-based economics, post-patriarchal values, respect for diversity, global responsibility and future focus.

Peace Nook

A nonprofit, volunteer-based information and social change activism referral center with a storefront. It offers books, music, environmental products, posters and more.

Show-Me Clean Streams

The group focuses on the conservation and enhancement of mid-Missouri rivers.

Sustain Mizzou

The student organization promotes a sustainable way of life through volunteer work and education about the environment.
