Gregory Wuestling left his East Broadway apartment on Sunday morning to find that all four of the tires on his brown Chevy Blazer had been slashed.

Wuestling, a 22-year-old MU student, counted six cars at the parking lot at 1012 E. Broadway that also had slashed tires.

Columbia police Sgt. Barbara Buck said that the likelihood of finding the person responsible would be difficult.

“It’s more difficult if we don’t have anyone see it,” she said, adding that there has yet to be a report filed by the responding officer.

Sal Nuccio, owner of Eastside Tavern, 1016 E. Broadway, posted a bulletin on his MySpace page that the tires on his van were also slashed.

Nuccio posted that he’s “launching (his) own investigation” and offering a reward, although he said in a bulletin posting that he doesn’t believe that the incident was in any way connected to him.

Buck said anyone with information should call 442-6131.
