A replacement for former Columbia Public School District board member Don Ludwig will be elected at a school board meeting 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Administration Building, 1818 West Worley St. The board will interview and then elect a replacement from a pool of nine candidates.
Ludwig resigned because his wife was recently named the schools district’s assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction. Karla DeSpain, president of the board, said he told her that maintaining his position as a school board member would present a conflict of interest.
