The Tigers lost in the final of their NCAA regional tournament.

The Missouri softball team ended its season with a 3-0 loss to DePaul on Saturday in the championship round of its NCAA regional at Charlotte West Stadium in Carbondale, Ill. It was the second regional championship appearance for the No. 19 Tigers (40-24) in three years.

No. 14 DePaul (44-11) advances to its second NCAA Super Regional appearance in the past three seasons.

DePaul tallied eight hits, including a two-run home run from designated player Jackie Tarulli-Fisher in the third inning.

Missouri had four hits including doubles from freshman Julie Silver, senior Kathy Masterson and junior Micaela Minner. However, the Tigers left five runners on base, three stranded in scoring position.

Tigers pitcher Jen Bruck made her 31st start of the season, throwing three innings and striking out three before freshman lefty Jana Hainey came on in relief. Bruck pitched out of a bases-loaded situation in the first inning. After giving up two singles and hitting a batter, Bruck threw a strikeout and got a fly out to left field.
