PrintColumbia police arrested a teen they said burglarized a north Columbia pawn shop early Thursday morning.
R’Landis Glenn Gordon, 18, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary, second-degree property damage, first-degree trespassing, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest after police responded to a burglary alarm at Family Pawn, 2406 Paris Road, said Columbia police Capt. Zim Schwartze. He broke a window to enter the store, she said.
Police saw Gordon running away from the business when they arrived, Schwartze said. He led police north from the business, then turned back before police caught him.
Gordon was being held in the Boone County Jail in lieu of $14,500 bond Thursday afternoon.
He pleaded guilty to theft and resisting arrest in February in Boone County Circuit Court, receiving a sentence of five years’ supervised probation, according to Missouri Case.net. In May, Gordon was charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest in Boone County Circuit Court.
