Columbia police released three surveillance photos of a man they said struck two north Columbia convenience store clerks with a pistol during a robbery Sunday.
Police said the man hit two clerks at Eagle Stop Service, 1704 N. Providence Road, several times and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register about 11 a.m. Sunday. Both clerks were treated at a local hospital, police said.
Columbia police Sgt. Ken Hammond said the man has a faded tattoo on the side of his neck.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the robber but warn that he might be armed and should not be confronted. Anyone with information may call CrimeStoppers, 875-8477.
