BRANSON — Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of an Arkansas man at a Branson motel late Thursday.

If the case is determined to be a homicide, it would be the first slaying this year in the resort town and only the third since 2000, police said today.

Police said they were called to Crescent Court Motel about 10 p.m. Thursday.

They found Dewayne Anthony Lynn, 48, of Harrison, Ark., outside the motel office bleeding from a stab wound to the left shoulder.

Lynn was taken to a hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

Police said an autopsy was scheduled today. No motive has been established and no suspects have been identified.
