Fair-goers pass the Avalanche ride at the Boone County Fairgrounds on Friday.

Columbia- This weekend the Boone County Fair paid tribute to barbecue, babies, and there's still one day left to enjoy the fun.

One of Friday’s highlights was the baby contests which brought children from all over Boone County to compete for titles.

The open breeding cattle and steer show was another great event, which spotlighted some of the finest cattle in Boone County, and let the second runner-up in the fair queen contest show her skills.

The fair ends today with a bang at 7 p.m. with the demolition derby.
