Missouri Theatre’s yard sale set for Sunday

Friday, August 3, 2007 | 1:25 p.m. CDT

The Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts is getting rid of the old to make room for the new.

After this week’s community volunteered demolition ends at 8 p.m. Saturday, the dust won’t have time to settle before parts of the theater go up for sale at “the kind of stuff you find in a historical theater” sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the theater, 203 S. Ninth St.

The sale will be held in the theater auditorium, where tables will be set up with items such as light fixtures, marquee letters, theater seats, sound equipment and even Christmas decorations pulled out of the theater during demolition.
