Columbia police said at least one additional suspect was involved in the July 12 robbery of a woman who lived in the 1800 block of Cliff Drive.
The suspect, who was armed with a sharp object that police said could have been scissors, tied the woman up with duct tape, stole her purse and drove off in the her 2002 Toyota Rav4 SUV, Columbia police Sgt. Ken Hammond said.
An ATM surveillance camera captured the image of one suspect driving the stolen SUV and attempting to use the victim’s ATM card. Police released the image Wednesday afternoon.
The victim reported that the intruder was a woman, but police think the person in the car is a man.
“We believe that there are now at least two people involved,” Columbia police Sgt. Ken Hammond said. “Now we’re just trying to get them ID’d.”
