COLUMBIA — The Missouri men’s basketball team signed Zaire Taylor, a transfer from the University of Delaware, to a scholarship on Monday, according to the Missouri media Web site.

Taylor, a 6-foot-4 guard, will have to sit out the 2007-2008 basketball season, and will be able to play the next season with two years of eligibility remaining.

“He gives us size and depth in the backcourt, along with versatility both offensively and defensively,” MU coach Mike Anderson said on the Web site Monday.

Taylor averaged 10.3 points and 4.9 rebounds for Delaware last season.
