COLUMBIA — A back-to-school drive collected 50 backpacks for children staying at The Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. The backpack drive, organized by Verizon Wireless, ran from Aug. 9 to Aug. 18. It was the first such drive at the Columbia store. Supplies to fill the backpacks were donated by a Columbia real estate company.
