COLUMBIA- Columbia police were looking for a man they said robbed a west Columbia massage parlor Friday afternoon.

At about 1:30 p.m., the suspect walked into Tokyo Spa, 1211 Clinkscales Road, and asked for service. He then held a knife to a 49-year-old female employee’s neck and forced her into an office, where she gave him an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The suspect, described as white, about 5-foot-7-inches tall with a thin build and dark-brown hair, was wearing blue jean shorts and a white T-shirt with a design on the front. He left the business and drove west on Business Loop 70 in an older-model white sport utility vehicle with a ladder on top, police said.

The woman working at the massage parlor was not injured, police said.

Anyone with information may call CrimeStoppers at 875-TIPS (8477).
