Late goal gives MU soccer team a tie

The Missouri women’s soccer team finished its preseason schedule undefeated, tying Saint Louis University 1-1 Sunday in St. Louis.

The Tigers only goal came late in the game in the 87th minute by freshman Alysha Bonnick, who received the pass from sophomore Kristin Andrighetto.

Missouri ended its exhibition season with a 1-0-1 record and will begin the regular season Friday on the road against Illinois.

Columbia College men's soccer

The Cougars lost 2-1 in double overtime in their season opener Sunday at Grand View College in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Cougars lone goal against the 10th-ranked Vikings was scored in the 31st minute of the first half by sophomore Ross Matthew. The assist went to senior Sam Gelven.

The 22nd-ranked Cougars will host Hastings College in its home opener at 7 p.m. Saturday.
