Monday, August 27, 2007 | 4:53 p.m. CDT

Columbia police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint within the next seven days, targeting impaired drivers over the Labor Day weekend and as part of the statewide campaign: “You Drink, You Drive, You Lose,” according to a news release.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department and MU Police will assist at the checkpoint.

The Highway Safety Division, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety have provided funding through grants for this sobriety checkpoint.
