Extra Points: Rock Bridge football ranked fifth in Missouri

ROCK BRIDGE FOOTBALL: The Associated Press released its preseason high school football poll on Wednesday. Rock Bridge High School was ranked fifth in Class 6 while receiving one first place vote. Blue Springs South was ranked first, and Jefferson City was ranked third.

HICKMAN SOFTBALL: Hickman High School softball defeated Kirksville 12-2 Wednesday night. Taylor Cowan pitched 6 innings and went 3 for 4 and scored two runs. Laura Miller was 3 for 4 with three runs scored.

ROCK BRIDGE SOFTBALL: The Rock Bridge softball team defeated Harrisburg Tuesday night 7-1. Amber Beeler pitched a complete game while giving up only four hits for the Bruins. Kelsey Palmquist and Amy Bildner each drove in two runs in the victory.

HICKMAN VOLLEYBALL: Hickman High School’s volleyball team defeated Hannibal 2-0 Wednesday night. They won the first game 25-17, and the second 25-18.
