It's a nice day at Finger Lake State Park, and Erich Petzall is spending it doing something he enjoys. It might not be your idea of a typical day in the park, but according to Petzall, "There is no better way to spend a perfect day like this than firing guns at a place like this, it's a beautiful place."

Erich Petzall unloads a clip from his Bushmaster AR-15 5.56mm at one of Finger Lake State Park's free outdoor shooting ranges. "There is no better way to spend a perfect day like this than firing guns at a place like this, it's a beautiful place," Petzall said.
Jan Kornatz is visiting the United States from Germany. He has been traveling through the Midwest and is spending a few weeks in Columbia with his friend Erich Petzall. There are no shooting ranges in Germany, but Kornatz hit the head area on the target five times using a handgun even though this is only his second time shooting — the first being last week. "I like being here, I am having a lot of fun in Columbia and the Midwest because I am really getting a chance to see what the real America is like," Kornatz said.
