COLUMBIA — Taylor Cowen did it again.

The Hickman pitcher led her team to a 5-2 victory over Rock Bridge at University Field on Thursday night. The Bruins, led by Amber Beeler’s pitching, were leading 2-1 going into the sixth inning. Cowen threw some wild pitches, but remained poised, retiring the last six batters.

Hickman pulled ahead 3-2 in the sixth and Cowen hit a triple in the seventh inning to score two more runs. Rock Bridge failed to overcome the deficit, but Bruins coach Joe Henderson said his team gained valuable experience.
