PrintCOLUMBIA — A Columbia man was arrested in connection with an armed robbery Wednesday night at Domino’s Pizza, 1500 I-70 Drive S.W., according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.
Police said a man entered Domino’s at about 11:23 p.m., produced a handgun and demanded money. He then left with an undetermined amount of money.
“Both of the victims were employees,” Sgt. Lloyd Simons of the Columbia Police Department said.
Security officers for the Columbia Executive Protection agency told police they saw a man matching the suspect’s description in the 600 block of Claudell Lane.
Officers detained the man, and he was identified by witnesses to the robbery.
Ejhlon Kashif Marks, 23, was charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. His bond has not yet been set, a control room officer at the Boone County Jail said.
Another armed robbery occurred at the same Domino’s Pizza in March 2006.
Also, Columbia police arrested two men in connection with another, separate armed robbery early Wednesday in central Columbia.
Jeramey Obrian Thompson, 18, and Steven Levere Young-Jones, 19, were arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action after a 19-year-old man said the suspects approached him at about 12:35 a.m. Wednesday near the corner of Hickman and Woodlawn, produced a handgun and demanded he empty his pockets. The suspects left with the man’s wallet, police said.
Young-Jones was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
