COLUMBIA — Freshman Katya Hessel scored two first-half goals in the No. 20 Missouri soccer team’s 6-2 win over Texas Christian University on Sunday at Walton Stadium.

The first of Hessel’s goals, which were the first scores of her MU career, came in just the second minute.

In the second half, TCU scored two quick goals to cut Missouri’s lead to 3-2.

“In the past, we might have panicked when it was 3-2,” MU coach Bryan Blitz said. “We didn’t show any panic. We just got back and took over.”

Michelle Collins and Kristin Andrighetto each scored their seventh goals for the Missouri (6-2), and defender Kat Tarr scored her first career goal on a penalty kick.
