PrintCOLUMBIA — One of two men charged in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Tedarrian Robinson in April was arrested Monday after his bond’s collateral was found insufficient, Columbia police said Tuesday.
Kristopher Prince posted $750,000 bond Sunday night, but it was revoked Monday, said Columbia police Sgt. Brian Richenberger. A new warrant was then issued for his arrest.
Richenberger said Prince was re-arrested Monday when a vehicle he was traveling in was stopped for a traffic violation. During the stop, Prince was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, Richenberger said. After being taken to the Columbia Police Department, he was taken into custody on the basis of the insecure bond, Richenberger said.
As previously reported in the Missourian, Prince, 17, and Lorenzo Ladiner, 20, were arrested in April on second-degree murder charges in connection with the shooting death of Robinson. According to court documents, Prince was accused of shooting an assault rifle at a car in which Robinson was riding. Robinson was shot in the back of the head and died later at University Hospital.
According to Missouri Casenet, Prince’s bond was deemed insecure on Monday and increased to $1 million cash-only.
Boone County Prosecutor Dan Knight declined to comment on the Prince and Ladiner cases.
Tuesday, Prince was being held at the Boone County Jail on charges of second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, according to Capt. Warren Brewer of the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
Prince is scheduled for a jury trial on Oct. 17 in Boone County, according to Casenet.
Brewer said Ladiner is being held on a $750,000 bond at the Boone County Jail on a second-degree murder charge and on $100,000 bond for a charge of unlawful use of a weapon.
